Internal Audit Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an internal audit job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on the sectors that dominate Los Angeles hiring: entertainment and media, financial services, healthcare systems, and commercial real estate. Downtown LA, Century City, and Westwood hold the highest concentration of corporate audit teams. Candidates who combine CPA or CIA credentials with experience in SOX compliance or operational auditing stand out most in this market. Networking through local finance and accounting associations also opens doors faster than cold applications.
Which companies hire internal auditors in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles internal audit roles are posted by TikTok, KPMG US, and Coinbase and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The employer mix here reflects the city's economy, running from major entertainment studios and streaming companies to regional banks, hospital networks, and large commercial real estate firms.
Are there remote internal audit jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though with limits, since internal audit often requires on-site access to records, systems, and staff for testing and walkthroughs. About 61% of internal audit openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting that planning, reporting, and documentation work can travel. In Los Angeles, hybrid arrangements are most common at large financial services firms and publicly traded entertainment companies with mature audit infrastructures.
How can I get an internal audit job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is landing a staff auditor or audit associate role at one of the regional public accounting firms with offices Downtown or in El Segundo, where client rotations build exposure quickly. Large hospital networks like Cedars-Sinai and county agencies also hire audit assistants and junior compliance analysts who rotate into internal audit. A degree in accounting or finance plus a CPA exam in progress gives you a competitive edge with most Los Angeles employers at that level.
Which industries hire the most internal auditors in Los Angeles?
Most internal audit openings in Los Angeles sit in Investment & Asset Management, Accounting & Auditing, and Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Los Angeles's concentration of entertainment studios, streaming platforms, regional banks, and large nonprofit hospital systems creates consistent audit staffing needs across both public companies managing SOX requirements and private organizations building out compliance functions.
