INTRODUCTION
Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.
THE ROLE
Block's Compliance Issues Management Oversight (CIMO) program is the centralized function responsible for end-to-end governance of compliance-impacting issues across Square, Cash App, and Afterpay. CIMO provides independent oversight of the full compliance issue lifecycle, from scope determination and root cause analysis through remediation execution, validation, and closure, to ensure clear accountability, consistent processes, and audit-ready documentation across the organization.
This role sits on the Regulatory Compliance Strategy (RCS) team and reports to the RCS Lead. As the CIMO Lead, you will own the operational backbone of this program — driving remediation tracking, change governance, escalation, reporting, quality assurance, and stakeholder advisory for a portfolio of compliance issues spanning financial crimes and consumer protection. You'll serve as the single centralized point of accountability ensuring that Compliance issues are governed to consistent standards, remediation stays on track, and the program operates with the rigor that regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders expect. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Block's Enterprise Issue Management Program, Compliance, Counsel, Internal Audit, and other business unit risk and operations teams.
If you're energized by building durable compliance governance processes, working cross-functionally to provide impactful support in driving progress across a range of issues, and translating complex regulatory requirements into clear operational outcomes, this role was built for you.
YOU WILL
-
Drive end-to-end remediation governance — own centralized tracking, change governance (extension requests, risk acceptances, remediation plan modifications), and scope determinations for Block's compliance issue portfolio, managing remediation across business units and compliance verticals through tiered governance tracks.
-
Deliver quality assurance and stakeholder advisory — perform quality reviews on root cause analyses, impact assessments, action plans, evidence packages, and closure submissions; advise issue owners on documentation standards, evidence requirements, and closure criteria; and serve as the centralized help desk for compliance teams navigating the issue lifecycle.
-
Facilitate governance forums and program reporting — convene cross-functional stakeholders, present portfolio status and key risk indicators, surface blockers, and produce regular leadership and regulatory-facing reporting on issue health, aging, escalation trends, and system-of-record accuracy.
-
Build and maintain the CIMO program — develop and refine the CIMO Standard, Procedure, templates, decision frameworks, and operating playbooks that define how Block governs compliance issues at scale.
-
Scale the program through automation and tooling — identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, workflow automation, and tooling improvements to increase oversight capacity, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
YOU HAVE
-
8+ years of experience in compliance issues management, remediation oversight, or governance within a regulated financial services environment (banking, fintech, payments)
-
Experience operating in enhanced regulatory oversight environments (regulatory examinations, audit engagements, and/or monitor interactions)
-
Strong working knowledge of AML/BSA, Sanctions/OFAC, and Consumer Protection compliance risk frameworks, with demonstrated experience managing end-to-end issue lifecycles — from identification through root cause analysis, impact assessment, action plan development, remediation execution, evidence collection, validation, and closure
-
Strong organizational and project management skills — ability to track a large portfolio of concurrent issues across multiple governance tracks and competing deadlines, with a detail-oriented approach to credible challenge on documentation, evidence packages, and process artifacts
-
Excellent cross-functional communication, presentation, and written skills — with a track record of driving accountability across stakeholders who do not report to you, and facilitating alignment with senior leadership
-
Experience leveraging AI, automation, and workflow tooling to drive efficiency in compliance processes, with familiarity with compliance issue management systems of record and governance reporting tools

Senior Level Lead Management Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level lead management job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who have owned a lead pipeline end to end, not just contributed to one. Demonstrating that you have improved conversion rates, built or restructured a lead qualification process, and coached junior team members sets you apart. Concrete outcomes tied to revenue or pipeline growth carry far more weight than a list of tools or responsibilities.
Which companies hire senior level lead managements?
Companies hiring senior level lead managements right now include Capgemini, Digital Realty, and WSP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from organizations scaling their sales operations, launching new market segments, or consolidating lead functions under a dedicated senior leader.
Are there remote senior level lead management jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are well represented at this level. About 31% of senior level lead management openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many organizations now treat pipeline management as a function that can run distributed. On-site roles tend to appear in industries where sales teams work closely with field or regional operations.
What makes a lead management role senior level?
Senior level roles shift the focus from executing a process to owning and improving it. That means setting lead qualification criteria, aligning with marketing and sales leadership on pipeline standards, and being accountable for conversion metrics across the funnel. It also typically involves mentoring earlier-career team members and influencing tooling or workflow decisions rather than simply following them.
Which industries hire the most senior level lead managements?
Senior Level lead management roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors tend to run high-volume, complex sales cycles where structured lead management directly affects revenue predictability, making senior expertise in this function a consistent hiring priority.
