Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM | Weekends Required
Position Summary
Embassy Suites by Hilton Austin Arboretum is seeking a dependable, motivated, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and team members.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building issues.
- Complete routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
- Maintain the hotel's appearance and ensure all facilities are in good working order.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and complete assigned work orders.
- Use hotel technology systems to receive, update, and complete maintenance work orders.
- Assist with emergency situations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience is required.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use hotel technology systems for work orders and daily tasks.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
