Manufacturing Jobs in Tampa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a manufacturing job in Tampa?
Focus your search on Tampa's strongest manufacturing sectors: defense and aerospace components, food and beverage production, electronics assembly, and medical device manufacturing. The Port Tampa Bay corridor, East Tampa industrial parks, and the Interstate 4 and Interstate 75 corridors near Hillsborough County attract the highest concentration of production employers. Candidates with certifications like OSHA 10, forklift operation, or lean manufacturing training stand out in this market.
Which companies hire manufacturings in Tampa?
Companies currently hiring manufacturings in Tampa include Grainger, Mark Master, and BRISK COFFEE ROASTERS USA, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Tampa's manufacturing employer base includes large defense contractors, food processing operations tied to the port, and growing medical device firms along the I-75 corridor.
Are there remote manufacturing jobs in Tampa?
Yes, though opportunities are limited by the hands-on nature of most production and assembly roles. About 34% of manufacturing openings tied to Tampa are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, skewing toward quality assurance, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing engineering roles rather than floor positions. Tampa's defense and medical device employers are the most likely sources of hybrid technical roles.
How can I get a manufacturing job in Tampa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tampa is through production associate or assembly line roles at food processing plants and logistics-linked manufacturers near the port and East Tampa industrial parks, which routinely hire without prior experience. Hillsborough Community College's technical programs and workforce training partnerships with local employers also feed entry-level candidates directly into manufacturing. Reliability, physical stamina, and any basic safety certification, such as OSHA 10, meaningfully improve your chances with Tampa employers.
