Pay Rate: $62,000 - $82,000 (Exempt, BOE)

Job Summary:

The Assembler Supervisor is responsible for assembling crane components to support production schedules as well as managing a team of assemblers. This role involves working closely with the production team to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes. Must have working knowledge in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

• Manage inventories and labor to set budgets.
• Develop KPI’s and present results to upper management.
• Assembles sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. (Industrial Cranes and Crane sub-assemblies)
• Performs all aspects of assembly work.
• In accordance with company procedures, cleans and prepares units for next operation.
• Safely operates heavy equipment as directed.
• Performs inspection activities.
• Maintains accurate records.
• May be required to operate forklifts.
• Comply with all requirements of Quality Control.
• Ensures compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Works well with others by showing mutual respect and consideration.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 7 plus years relevant supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software.
• Requires knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing.
• Able to read prints and shop manuals.
• Must be able to perform simple computer entry for time keeping purposes.
• Prior experience with hand and air tools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with the assistance of overhead crane and/or co-workers.
• Twist, reach and bend frequently.
• Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
• Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
• Possess the ability to hear.
• Possess the ability to ascend and descend a ladder.
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions, noise, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
