Night Shift - Manufacturing Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including: Planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Individuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
- Leaders typically manage two or more direct reports.
- Responsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
- Responsible for people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
- Progression within the levels reflects increase in scope and responsibilities as well as growth in business and industry experience, process and people leadership capabilities, and broad technical expertise. Coaches and address performance related issues following progressive discipline for safety, quality, performance, training and attendance.
- Supervises entry-level or semi-skilled hourly employees such as production, craft, and clerical workers.
- Coordinates resources and sets daily priorities for the team to ensure task completion and operational objectives are met.
- Requires understanding and application of established procedures and full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.
- Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit.
- Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
- Applies operational business practices and coordinates with other closely related areas to improve efficiency.
- Directs operations of work units.
- Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables; work is reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
- Decisions directly impact work unit operations.
- Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.
- Interacts daily with subordinates or peers within similar or related functions primarily for the purpose of presenting and exchanging information.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Pay Range: $68,900.00 - $91,800.00
