Job Description
Overview:
The Marketing Operations, Senior Manager works cross-functionally to project manage the review process for advertising and promotional materials for approved drug and/or device products. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible for identifying and leading specific Marketing Operations individuals, function(s) and/or special projects, required to achieve the designated brand(s) objectives. The Senior Manager acts as a Marketing Operations subject matter expert for the PRC (Promotional Review Committee) review process and is responsible for ensuring the process efficiency involving Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams, while conforming with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- People/team mentoring and coaching. Recruit, coach and develop Marketing Operations resources to support team daily operations in support of Allergan Aesthetics promotional review process.
- Lead and manage cross-functional promotional review (PRC) meetings. Build and manage meeting agendas as a partner to Marketing and facilitate meetings while memorializing PRC reviewer comments and job requirements. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for monitoring and optimizing the promotional review process of assigned brands. Manage all meeting logistics, including scheduling, on designated brands, working independently on all aspects of both offline and live reviews to help achieve the brand key milestones and objectives.
- Manage key function(s) of the review process for assigned brand(s). The Sr. Manager will become a trusted partner responsible for performing other Marketing Operations function(s) (i.e. Editorial Review, Print Production, Electronic System Administration, etc.) in support of the assigned brand(s). Works closely with Brand Marketing, the PRC Committee, Compliance, and the rest of Marketing Operations, to proactively identify and resolve issues and ensure reviews are efficiently completed throughout various stages of the process. The Sr. Manager will utilize system and reporting to effectively communicate and actively manage jobs with Brand/Project originators.
- Enable best practices and SOP conformance. Incorporate best practices and insights to help develop high-quality jobs. Ensure jobs adhere to company policies and FDA guidance. The Sr. Manager also ensures that all SOP requirements are met. Provides guidance and training as required to all PRC participants.
- Interface with Editorial, Production and Regulatory team members to assist with system execution of submission processes. The Sr. Manager is knowledgeable in each area to help with timely submissions and execution to ensure potential issues are resolved for overall achievement of deadlines (Proofing requirements, Regulatory Affairs return of jobs, 2253 submission to OPDP, etc.).
- Lead Special Projects for the assigned Brand(s)/Team. As the promotional review subject matter expert, the Sr. Manager is responsible for partnering with leaders in Commercial, Regulatory, Medical, Legal, Compliance, BTS and other functions to ensure an efficient & compliant marketing operation function supporting Allergan Aesthetics business needs. This includes identifying and leading special projects to help optimize the efficiency of the promotional review process and materials management of the assigned brand(s). Required to work in collaboration with Marketing Operations, IT and respective Brand team(s). Accountable for owning and monitoring the performance of the materials review process and identify areas of opportunities and innovation to drive further efficiencies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare advertising environment.
- Familiarity with promotional review systems such as Veeva strongly preferred.
- Cross-functional, project management and team leadership/coaching experience.
- Moderate to Advanced Microsoft Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT).
- Experience with editing helpful.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations for pharmaceutical advertising and promotion.
- Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
