JOB OVERVIEW:

HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR ROLE:
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in loading the trucks that ship our premium windows to customers. This position is responsible for communicating effectively to ensure that trucks are shipped complete and on time, continuously striving to improve productivity, effectiveness, quality, and safety. It is essential that this individual can work successfully both independently and as part of a team with varied strengths.
YOU'RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE (OR IF YOU CAN):
- Load and/or unload trucks properly
- Ability to work with computers or the ICIM program and scanners
- Ability to read and understand customer orders and shipping labels
- Check for quality accuracy based on the quality guidelines
- Use of essential measuring equipment
- Ability to use lift equipment and obtain the required licensure
- May require coordinating and transporting inventory
- Effectively working with others
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Dependable attendance
- May be required to work beyond scheduled work hours to meet delivery schedule
- Must be self-motivated and require minimal supervision
- Additional duties as assigned
ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE:
- Standing and/or walking for 8 – 10 hours a day
- Performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
- Working at an established production rate pace entailing pushing and/or pulling of materials up to 150 pounds
- Lifting up to 75 pounds as well as moving product on the floor of the trailers ranging from 50-400 pounds, team lifting may be required for heavier lifting
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and turning
