Medical Assistant Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a medical assistant job in Denver?
Denver's strongest hiring happens inside large outpatient clinic networks, urgent care chains, and specialty practices concentrated in Cherry Creek, the Highlands, and along the Colfax corridor. Candidates who hold a CMA or RMA credential and have hands-on experience with electronic health records tend to move faster through the process here. Targeting multi-site clinic groups and federally qualified health centers in metro Denver gives you the broadest set of openings.
Which companies hire medical assistants in Denver?
Denver medical assistant roles are posted by Denver Health, COLORADO COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS, and CareNow and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market is dominated by large integrated health systems, independent specialty clinics, and urgent care operators with multiple Denver-area locations.
Are there remote medical assistant jobs in Denver?
Yes, though remote work is uncommon for medical assistants because most duties require direct patient contact and on-site clinical tasks. About 6% of medical assistant openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those openings tend to cover phone triage, prior authorization support, or care coordination roles rather than traditional clinical work.
How can I get a medical assistant job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is completing a certificate program at a community college like Community College of Denver and then applying directly to urgent care chains or large outpatient clinic networks, which regularly hire graduates into entry-level roles. Externship placements through those programs often convert to paid positions. Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, have a measurable edge across Denver's federally qualified health centers and community clinics.
