Medical Assistant – Advanced Clinical (MD Graduate / Gap Year Opportunity)
Starting Pay: $18.00/hr | Full-Time | 10-Hour Shifts

ABOUT THE ROLE
Specialists in Dermatology is seeking an advanced clinical Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is an excellent fit for MD graduates seeking U.S. clinical experience, or gap-year candidates with strong clinical backgrounds planning to pursue medical school, PA school, or other advanced healthcare programs. You will work directly alongside our dermatology providers in a fast-paced specialty practice, taking on meaningful clinical responsibilities from day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Room patients, obtain detailed medical histories, and prepare for provider visits
- Assist with dermatology procedures, including surgical procedures
- Perform suturing and wound care under provider supervision (experience preferred)
- Document accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients on procedures, diagnoses, and post-care instructions
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam and procedure rooms
- Cross-train and assist at the front desk as needed (scheduling, check-in/out, phones)
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to keep the clinic running smoothly

QUALIFICATIONS
- MD degree (foreign or domestic) or equivalent medical training required, OR strong clinical background as part of a pre-health gap year
- Prior hands-on clinical experience required; procedural experience (suturing, wound care) strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
