Location: Hampton, Iowa

Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift, Monday Friday; potential call, weekend, and night coverage

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hampton, Iowa. This role supports laboratory operations in a critical access hospital setting and requires strong lab testing skills, accuracy, documentation, and flexibility for possible call, weekend, and night coverage based on facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
- Process, analyze, and report lab specimens according to established procedures
- Maintain quality control, equipment function, and laboratory safety standards
- Document results accurately using Cerner and communicate critical findings as needed
- Support flexible lab coverage, including possible call, weekends, and nights
Requirements
- Active applicable Medical Laboratory license or certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MLS, MLT, or clinical laboratory experience required
- Strong specimen processing, testing, quality control, and reporting skills required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Must be flexible for Monday Friday day shift with possible call, weekend, and night coverage
