Mental Health Jobs in Colorado Springs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mental health job in Colorado Springs?
Colorado Springs hires heavily through its large military behavioral health network at Fort Carson and Peterson Space Force Base, its community mental health centers, and a growing outpatient private practice sector along Briargate and the Powers corridor. Candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or military family services stand out in this market. Targeting employers tied to the military community gives you the strongest local edge.
Which companies hire mental healths in Colorado Springs?
Employers hiring mental healths in Colorado Springs right now include Griffith Centers, LifeStance Health, and A Phoenix Rising, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market is a mix of community mental health organizations, hospital systems, private group practices, and contractors serving the military installation community.
Are there remote mental health jobs in Colorado Springs?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the specific role, since direct clinical and crisis work is largely on-site while case management, care coordination, and administrative mental health roles are more commonly remote. About 71% of mental health openings tied to Colorado Springs are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. Telehealth therapy positions are the most consistently remote roles in the Colorado Springs market.
How can I get a mental health job in Colorado Springs with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Colorado Springs is through community mental health centers, which regularly hire mental health technicians, case manager assistants, and crisis line staff with a bachelor's degree and no prior clinical experience. Centura Health, Cedar Springs Hospital, and nonprofits serving the Fort Carson community often post entry-level behavioral health aide roles. Volunteering or interning with a local crisis center before applying significantly strengthens your candidacy.
Which industries hire the most mental healths in Colorado Springs?
Most mental health openings in Colorado Springs sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Colorado Springs' large active-duty and veteran population drives outsized demand from military contractors, the VA system, and nonprofits focused on military family support alongside the city's hospital and outpatient clinic sector.
