Entry Level National Account Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level national account director job?
Focus on demonstrating client-facing experience, even from internships, campus sales roles, or account coordination work. Employers at this level look for candidates who can communicate clearly, manage multiple stakeholders, and show an understanding of sales cycles. A strong internship or project where you supported account growth directly gives you a concrete edge over candidates with only coursework on their resume.
Which companies hire entry level national account directors?
Companies hiring entry level national account directors right now include Sika, ITW, and Bunzl, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from consumer goods companies, staffing firms, and national retailers that run structured early-career programs designed to develop new account managers from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level national account director jobs?
Yes, though many roles at this level still prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements for onboarding and client-facing training. About 40% of entry level national account director openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so candidates open to flexible work settings will find a meaningful share of listings that accommodate it.
Are these new grad national account director jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work as a substitute for full-time history, or invites candidates with a portfolio of relevant projects, campus leadership, or client-facing work in place of a traditional resume.
Which industries hire the most entry level national account directors?
Entry Level national account director roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Chemicals & Materials, and Medical Devices, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they rely on national sales teams that need junior account talent to support growth, manage distributor relationships, and develop into full account ownership over time.
