Network Coordinator Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a network coordinator in California?
Most network coordinator roles in California require at minimum an associate degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field, though many employers prefer a bachelor's degree. California does not require a state-issued license for this role. Earning an industry credential such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA significantly strengthens your candidacy with California employers, particularly in healthcare and enterprise technology organizations.
How much do network coordinators make in California?
Network coordinators in California earn a median of about $106,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $72,400 for the lowest 10% to over $166,730 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire network coordinators in California?
Employers hiring network coordinators in California right now include Heritage Provider Network, Family HealthCare Network, and Fox News Network, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's concentration of large healthcare systems, defense contractors, and technology firms means consistent year-round demand across the state.
Which California cities have the most network coordinator jobs?
West Hills, Orange, and San Bernardino have the most network coordinator openings in California. Los Angeles and San Diego anchor hiring through their dense concentrations of defense contractors, healthcare systems, and telecom carriers, while San Francisco draws demand from enterprise technology companies and cloud infrastructure providers headquartered in the Bay Area.
Are there remote network coordinator jobs in California?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based roles, since network coordinators frequently need to be on-site to support physical infrastructure. About 4% of network coordinator openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. The functions most often performed remotely are ticket triage, vendor coordination, and network monitoring rather than hands-on cabling or hardware work.
How can I get hired as a network coordinator in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a help desk or IT support technician role at a California employer, which builds the troubleshooting and ticketing system experience hiring managers expect. Large California healthcare systems such as Kaiser Permanente and Dignity Health, as well as state agencies, regularly post entry-level IT coordinator positions that serve as direct pipelines. Completing a CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge over others without hands-on work history.
