Nuclear Medicine Technologist Jobs in Ohio

Summary:

Prepares and administers radionuclides to patients and performs scans and procedures. Ensures that all aspects of patients' records and relaxed documentation are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Accurately records data for patient chart, patient dose chart, disposition sheets, and calibration books.

Formal Education Required:

• Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology, AND/OR
• Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Registered as Nuclear Medicine Technologist by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists AND/OR
• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and the State of Ohio.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

• Ability to administer intravenous injections of radioisotopes, properly position patients, and operate scintillation equipment.
• Ability to communicate verbally with patients, physicians and other hospital employees.
• Analytical ability sufficient to use mathematic formulas to calculate amounts of radioactivity to be injected and compute laboratory results.
• Ability to utilize computer systems and file system to facilitate patient record management as directed by Supervisory Staff.
• Ability to initiate CPR (CPR certification).
• Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $38.68/hr - $46.42/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
