Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Production Clerk to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will ensure the accurate flow of materials, maintain inventory integrity, and support production efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Materials & Inventory Management
- Allocate materials to work orders within the ERP system (JDE or similar)
- Manage material replenishment using Kanban systems
- Order materials through internal systems and databases
- Perform cycle counts and support annual physical inventory
- Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies, including negative inventory
Operations & Reporting
- Track daily production efficiency and performance metrics
- Perform work order reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Maintain accurate records for inventory and production transactions (SAP/MES/JDE)
- Provide updates and reporting to team leadership
Process Improvement & Coordination
- Identify and escalate inventory or operational issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials are available and processes run smoothly
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in materials, inventory, or production support
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and work order processes
