Thatcher Company is looking for an Operations Manager to lead production in Salt Lake City facility with responsability for 3 production areas.
Major Accountabilities

• Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
• Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
• Managing manufacturing, shipping, and receiving activities for the facility.
• Prioritizing tasks and assignments and deploying resources in alignment with production schedule.
• Maintaining a safety focused environment and product quality compliance.
• Developing an atmosphere of continuous improvement.
• Providing employee training.
• Brings up urgent equipment repairs to the attention of leadership
• Participating in continuous improvements, including root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions.
• Performing daily monitoring and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensuring a work environment that is safe and clean for production. (5S)

Required Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Requires 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Proven record in training employees about safety and production
• Strong working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
