NOW HIRING — COMMERCIAL HVAC PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR

Wasatch Heating & Air is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager / Estimator to help lead, manage, and grow our commercial HVAC division.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a highly experienced HVAC professional who understands commercial HVAC from both the field and management side and is capable of taking projects from initial estimating and bidding through successful completion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC, construction estimating, bidding, project management, scheduling, cost control, and field coordination.

This is a leadership position for someone who is organized, technically knowledgeable, takes ownership, and can successfully manage multiple commercial projects while maintaining strong relationships with customers, general contractors, vendors, and field crews.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for commercial HVAC projects Perform material and labor takeoffs Review and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, specifications, and project scopes Develop project budgets, schedules, manpower requirements, and material/equipment plans Manage commercial HVAC projects from initial bid through completion Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and project schedules Work directly with general contractors, building owners, customers, vendors, and design teams Manage procurement and ensure equipment and materials are available when needed Track labor, material costs, project budgets, schedules, and overall job profitability Manage contracts, change orders, additional work, and project documentation Conduct regular job-site visits to monitor progress, quality, and resolve problems Help ensure projects meet applicable plans, specifications, codes, safety requirements, and contractual obligations Identify potential scheduling, cost, or installation issues before they impact the project Provide technical support and leadership to installers and field crews Maintain clear communication between the office, field, customers, and contractors Assist in developing better processes and systems for our commercial department Help develop relationships with general contractors and commercial customers Play an active role in growing the commercial side of Wasatch Heating & Air

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC experience required Extensive commercial HVAC experience Experience with commercial estimating, bidding, and project management Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems Strong understanding of ductwork and sheet metal installation Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications Understanding of construction scheduling, budgets, cost control, and procurement Experience managing contracts, change orders, and project documentation Familiarity with applicable commercial construction and HVAC codes and requirements Comfortable using estimating/project management software and Microsoft Office Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Self-motivated and capable of working independently Must be someone who takes ownership, follows through, and gets things done

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$80,000–$105,000 per year, DOE

Compensation will be based on commercial HVAC experience, estimating and bidding experience, project management experience, and the candidate’s overall ability to take ownership of the position.

Health Insurance Available Wasatch Heating & Air is willing to fully contribute toward the employee’s health insurance coverage.

Will be provided a company vehicle and gas card.
