Patient Care Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a patient care manager job in Atlanta?
Atlanta's strongest hiring comes from its large academic health systems along the Emory and Grady corridors, managed care payers headquartered in Buckhead, and the growing network of outpatient and home health agencies expanding into the metro's suburbs. Candidates who stand out typically combine direct clinical or case management experience with familiarity with value-based care models, which Atlanta's major systems have adopted aggressively. Networking through the Georgia chapter of the Case Management Society of America also opens doors locally.
Which companies hire patient care managers in Atlanta?
Employers hiring patient care managers in Atlanta right now include Kearney, Deloitte, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's mix of academic medical centers, national payer regional offices, and fast-growing outpatient networks means openings appear across both hospital and non-hospital settings throughout the metro.
Are there remote patient care manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though partly: hands-on and unit-based roles are almost always on-site, while utilization management, care coordination, and population health positions are frequently remote or hybrid. About 12% of patient care manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the payer and managed care presence in the market. The most remote-eligible work in Atlanta tends to sit with insurance carriers and telehealth-adjacent organizations based in Buckhead and the Perimeter area.
How can I get a patient care manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is moving into a care coordinator or case management associate role at one of the city's large health systems or managed care organizations, which regularly hire candidates with clinical backgrounds but limited management experience. Grady Health System and the Emory system both run structured care management training pipelines. Earning a CCM credential while in an entry role signals readiness for promotion within Atlanta's competitive market and tends to shorten the path to a full patient care manager title.
Which industries hire the most patient care managers in Atlanta?
Most patient care manager openings in Atlanta sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Investment & Asset Management, and Accounting & Auditing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional hub for managed care payers, combined with the density of major health systems and a rapidly expanding home health and post-acute sector, drives consistently high demand for this role across the metro.
