KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule: 12hrs Day Shift
- Hourly Pay Rate: $21/hour.
- Per-Diem (Meals, Incidentals & Lodging): $996.80/week
- Weekly Gross: $1,752.80 (based on completion of 40 hours per week)
- Manage a diverse patient population with oncologic, medical, and surgical diagnoses.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care medications per established protocols.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor for treatment side effects, and intervene promptly.
- Manage symptoms including pain, nausea, fatigue, and electrolyte imbalances.
- Coordinate with oncologists, pharmacists, social workers, and palliative care teams.
- Educate patients and families on cancer treatments, side effect management, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (Cerner or similar).
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and oncology nursing standards.
KEY REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:
- Must have skills:
- Registered Nurse, RN, Medical Surgical, Oncology, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Active RN License (GA or Compact State)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within medical/surgical or oncology specialty
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm), schedule varies
- No local candidates within 50 miles
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and side effect management
- Strong pain management and symptom control expertise
- Excellent patient and family education abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, patient-first mindset with attention to detail
- Consistent 12-hour day shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week (weekly gross based on 40 hours as noted)
