We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Full-Time Patient Service Front Desk Coordinator/ Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties

• Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient check-in procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
• Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software and coordinate follow-up visits as needed
• Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and direct calls appropriately
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review
• Assist with billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims processing
• Support front desk operations by filing paperwork, managing office supplies, and performing clerical tasks such as typing reports and data entry using Microsoft Office tools

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing practices
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with dental software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA standards
• Proven medical office experience of 3-5 years including front desk management, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling
• Proficient computer skills including typing 45wpm or higher (10 key), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and familiarity with health information management systems
• Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person while demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times
