Patient Services Manager Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a patient services manager job in Philadelphia?
Focus your search on Philadelphia's dense health system network, particularly the large academic medical centers in University City and the community health organizations serving North and West Philadelphia. Candidates who stand out typically bring experience coordinating patient access workflows, familiarity with electronic health records, and a background in high-volume outpatient or specialty care settings. Volunteering with federally qualified health centers in the city and building connections through Jefferson, Penn, or Temple's professional networks can open doors faster than applying cold.
Which companies hire patient services managers in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia patient services manager roles are posted by Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health, Aramark, and Penn Medicine and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Philadelphia's hiring landscape is driven heavily by its academic health systems, large outpatient clinic groups, and specialty care networks tied to the city's major medical universities.
Are there remote patient services manager jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, but only selectively, since patient services manager work is largely on-site given its direct coordination with clinical staff and patients. About 0% of patient services manager openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, most commonly for roles focused on scheduling oversight, billing coordination, or multi-site administrative management rather than hands-on patient-facing operations.
How can I get a patient services manager job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is starting as a patient services representative or medical receptionist at one of the city's large outpatient clinic networks or federally qualified health centers, then moving into a lead or supervisor role within one to two years. Philadelphia's community health organizations, such as those operating in Kensington and Southwest Philadelphia, often hire entry-level candidates and promote from within. Familiarity with Epic or Cerner and bilingual Spanish skills are practical advantages in this market.
