Mid Level Pediatric Physician Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level pediatric physician assistant job?
Highlight the clinical autonomy you have already demonstrated, such as managing your own patient panel, handling acute presentations independently, or contributing to care protocols. Tailor your application to show depth in pediatric-specific competencies, certifications like PALS or CAQ-Pediatrics, and any role you played in mentoring students or new graduates. Recruiters at this level look for evidence of ownership, not just task completion.
Which companies hire mid level pediatric physician assistants?
Companies hiring mid level pediatric physician assistants right now include University of Kentucky, Mayo Clinic, and Centra Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from children's hospital systems, multispecialty pediatric group practices, and integrated health networks that need experienced clinicians who can work with meaningful independence.
Are there remote mid level pediatric physician assistant jobs?
Yes, though most pediatric PA roles require direct patient contact, a growing number involve telehealth or hybrid arrangements for follow-up care, care coordination, and chronic disease management. About 0% of mid level pediatric physician assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, making it worth filtering for those options when searching current listings.
How do I move up to a mid level pediatric physician assistant role?
Progression from entry level to mid level comes from consistently deepening your pediatric clinical skills, taking on more complex cases with less supervision, and demonstrating measurable outcomes over time. Pursuing subspecialty exposure, earning a Pediatrics CAQ, and volunteering for protocol development or preceptorship duties signals readiness for greater ownership and positions you for mid level consideration.
