Physical Therapist Jobs in Cincinnati: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physical therapist job in Cincinnati?
Cincinnati's strongest hiring comes from its large health systems, independent outpatient orthopedic clinics, and the cluster of pediatric and rehabilitation facilities near the Medical Center district. Candidates with hands-on clinical rotations at local hospitals or skilled nursing facilities stand out, and those with a neurological or sports rehabilitation specialty tend to move through the process faster given the city's active demand in those areas.
Which companies hire physical therapists in Cincinnati?
Employers hiring physical therapists in Cincinnati right now include Athletico Physical Therapy, Upstream Rehabilitation, and Mercy Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market mixes large regional health networks with smaller privately owned outpatient practices and long-term care groups, giving candidates a range of settings and patient populations to choose from.
How can I get a physical therapist job in Cincinnati with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Cincinnati is through a clinical affiliation or per-diem role at one of the city's rehabilitation hospitals or skilled nursing facilities, which regularly bring on new graduates. Outpatient orthopedic clinics in Hyde Park and the northern suburbs also hire physical therapist assistants and aides as a bridge, and candidates who completed rotations at Cincinnati-area sites already have a relationship advantage with those employers.
