South Hills Orthopaedic Surgical Associates, P.C. (SHOSA) is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, team oriented individual with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our growing physical therapy team!

This opening is for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for our Orthopedic and Sports Medicine facility in Upper Saint Clair, PA.

South Hills Orthopaedic Surgical Associates, P.C. (SHOSA) is a longstanding private practice located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Comprised of Surgeons, Physiatrists, PAs, PTs, and PTAs. We provide care for patients of all ages and in all areas of orthopaedics.

***Active PA PTA License Required***

Responsibilities:

• Treat operative and non-operative orthopedic injuries.
• Provide physical therapy interventions based upon the plan of care written by a physical therapist utilizing evidence-based physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient within the scope of practice permitted by the Physical Therapy Practice Act of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Participates in initiatives for operational improvement including mentoring new staff and participating in committees and educational offerings.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Must possess or be eligible for Pennsylvania PTA license
• Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
• Surgical rehabilitation experience preferred
• Strong understanding of orthopedics and post-operative rehabilitation preferred
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in forging working relationships with evaluating therapists to provide high level patient care
• Candidate must excel working as a team
