INTRODUCTION
King Industries, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our Manufacturing Department at our plant in Waterbury, CT as a Chemical Operator Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment with a company that values quality, safety, and employee growth. King Industries, Waterbury manufactures lubricant base stock for premium synthetic oil, grease and hydraulic fluid. Our on-the-job training is accomplished through learning from and working directly with senior operators or chemical engineers. Levels of achievement and certifications are scheduled milestones.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shift Schedule:
- 1st Shift- 6:00AM- 2:30PM
- 2nd Shift- 2:00PM- 10:30PM
Shift placement will be based on operational needs.
- Ability to rotate between 1st and 2nd shift.
- Assist with tow motor operations (including raw material and finished goods, INC and transport equipment).
- Drum King Industries product into 55-gallon drums or 15-gallon pails.
- Assist Chemical Operator with completing tasks associated with the operating process equipment within buildings.
- Participate and maintain a general knowledge of Quality Control, Environmental and Safety programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Skills:
- Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and multiplication).
- Knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and respond to written instructions.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years of operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
