- Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts) in communications, journalism, or related field
- 1-2+ years fulltime PR/job-related experience in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or related fields, with direct travel and lifestyle client background preferred
- Strong detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage projects effectively
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent writing skills, both technical and creative
- Strong news writing and reporting proficiency
- Good base of media contacts
- Demonstrable media pitching skills
- Solid understanding of social media and how to utilize it
- Sensitivity to deadlines
- Ability to anticipate needs and learn quickly
- Sensitive listening skills (from client, supervisor, and media)
- Results-oriented thinking, effective judgment, and ability to anticipate, spot, and fix problems
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Computer proficiency and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google programs; Cision, MuckRack and other PR programs a bonus
- Good sense of humor and a love for travel is a must!
Salary Range: $55,000 - $58,000
