Entry Level Practice Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level practice manager job?
Focus on healthcare administration coursework, internships, or front-desk experience in a clinical or dental setting, since employers at this level value hands-on exposure over years on the job. Highlight scheduling, patient coordination, or billing experience in your resume. Certifications in medical office administration can also give you a concrete edge over other entry level candidates.
Which companies hire entry level practice managers?
Companies hiring entry level practice managers right now include Petco, Axpm Dental Management, and Hanger, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from independent medical and dental practices, multi-location health systems, and outpatient specialty clinics that are growing their administrative teams.
Are there remote entry level practice manager jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site given the patient-facing nature of the role. About 9% of entry level practice manager openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions typically involve billing oversight, insurance coordination, or administrative support for multi-site practices rather than direct floor management.
Are these new grad practice manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior practice manager roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and treats internships, externships, or a practicum placement as qualifying background. If a listing mentions training provided or encourages recent graduates to apply, it is a strong signal that it suits candidates just entering the field.
Which industries hire the most entry level practice managers?
Entry Level practice manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Animal Care & Pet Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate high patient volumes and need junior administrators who can learn scheduling, compliance, and team coordination on the job as practices expand.
