Roles at distributed-first companies in fintech and enterprise SaaS account for the largest share of fully remote listings.
How can I get a product director job in San Francisco with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a senior product manager role at a San Francisco startup or mid-stage tech company first, then building toward the director title internally. San Francisco's dense startup ecosystem creates genuine openings for people who can own a product area end-to-end early, without the years of seniority larger companies require. Roles at Series A and Series B companies in SoMa and Mission Bay are where that trajectory most often begins.
