Entry Level Product Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level product manager job?
Entry level product manager roles favor candidates who can show they have thought through a product problem, not just studied one. A case study, a redesign project, or an internship where you wrote requirements or worked with engineers will set you apart. Employers at this stage look for clear communication, curiosity about users, and comfort with ambiguity over years on a resume.
Which companies hire entry level product managers?
Companies hiring entry level product managers right now include TikTok, Affirm, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including fast-growing startups that need generalist contributors and larger technology and consumer companies that run structured associate or rotational product manager programs.
Are there remote entry level product manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a meaningful share of openings at this level. About 32% of entry level product manager openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, giving candidates flexibility to search beyond their local market. Fully remote roles at the entry level tend to appear more often at product-led technology companies and startups.
Are these new grad product manager jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior product manager roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or academic projects toward that bar, and does not require prior people management. A portfolio demonstrating product thinking is often enough to apply.
Which industries hire the most entry level product managers?
Entry level product manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Electronics & Hardware, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring at this level because they build digital products at scale and rely on early-career product managers to support roadmap execution, user research, and cross-functional coordination alongside more senior team members.
