BAE Systems - Continued Engineering Support is seeking an Electrical Engineer Principal to integrate and produce EW Programs. The individual selected for this position will be a demonstrated “hands-on” electrical engineer. The individual will lead projects in hardware design, software development, integration/test, and delivery for all of the EW products supported by BAE Systems. This will include Digital Modules, Analog Modules, RF Modules, Optical Modules, Power Supplies, Backplanes, and Test Equipment. The individual must be a self-starter with development experience working with integrated military avionics/electronic hardware and supporting test equipment.
The candidate should have advanced troubleshooting experience with LT Spice, ADS, MATLAB, Cadence, Circuit Card Assemblies, subsystems, COTS components. Experience with Failure Analysis, Lab Windows CVI, and Test Stand are a plus.
The candidate should have a multi-disciplinary design background: Digital, Analog, RF, Microwave, Optical, Power Supply, backplane, or Test Equipment. The candidate should have a strong desire to increase their knowledge in each of these technical areas. In this role, you will have a chance to grow your technical and leadership skills as you support the integration, continued production, and sustainment of various circuit card assemblies, and subsystems.
Activities day-to-day will vary and may include:
- Integrate sub-systems into systems
- Fault isolate non-compliances to a component level
- Supporting transition of new products into production
- Collaborate on design updates to circuit card assemblies
- Collaborate on circuit analyses to assess performance impacts
- Collaborate on product yield and affordability improvements
- Collaborate on product re-spins caused by part obsolescence or quality issues
- Collaborate with technicians and engineering SME's
- Work with hardware suppliers
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
- Able to research and apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve/prevent electrical engineering problems.
- Strong desire to learn in the following areas: Digital, Analog, RF, Microwave, Optical, Power Supply, Backplane, and Test development
- Motivated self-starter with ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
- Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner
- Ability to collaborate on technical information to program teams and/or customers.
- Technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks

Experience integrating complex military systems
Experience learning and applying in a rapidly changing environment
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience gathering and analyzing test data to assess trends and develop yield improvement plans
Experience with in four disciplines: High-Speed Digital, Processor, analog, RF, Microwave, Optical, Power Supply, Backplane, and Test Equipment designs
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $128831 - $219012
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
