DESCRIPTION
Your objective will be to deliver distinctive customer business outcomes and experience. In doing so, you will lead the implementation of AWS delivery innovations with customers, including re-designing software development processes to become AI-native end-to-end (“AI-DLC”). You will bring exceptional stakeholder orchestration and relationship-building skills, intrinsic problem-solving ability to proactively shape program direction, anticipate and mitigate risks, and actively manage inter-dependencies, and the backbone to influence customers and partners when program success demands it. This is an opportunity to shape the future of the industry directly through hands-on transformation leadership.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using AWS services. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing and AI transformation initiatives.
This role requires approximately 50% co-location on site with customer, AWS and partner teams within the U.S.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and nurture trusted executive relationships (VP+), delivering strategic counsel on program direction, health, risks, and trade-offs to inform executive decisions
- Proactively manage inter-dependencies, mitigate risks, and drive accountability for program outcomes in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Orchestrate across customer lines of business, IT, and partner teams simultaneously, aligning these stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and definitions of success, and escalating blockers where necessary for resolution
- Define and track measurable customer business outcomes (e.g., time-to-market acceleration) as the north star for program success, translating technical delivery progress into executive-ready value narratives that demonstrate ROI and inform strategic decisions
- Own the program financial health, including forecasting, revenue recognition, commercial management, change request negotiation, and scope management for fixed-price, milestone-based delivery constructs
- Influence human builder and agent builder teams effectively, establishing clear operating models and responsible AI guardrails as delivery increasingly incorporates AI-augmented development workflows and agentic automation
- Drive adoption of AI-DLC (AI-Driven Development Life Cycle) methodologies across delivery programs, adapting delivery models and team structures for accelerated scale and pace, establishing outcomes-based governance frameworks for AI-native builds, and steering multi-agent systems at scale to drive delivery productivity across the program
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks for agentic AI in delivery — including observability, cost controls, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and compliance guardrails — ensuring AI-augmented workflows remain auditable, secure, and aligned with customer and AWS security requirements.
- Proactively surface ideas on how ProServe and other AWS teams can innovate to help our customers achieve their goals at a faster pace and larger scale

Professional Services Engineer Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a professional services engineer job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Dallas's technology-dense corridors, particularly the Platinum Corridor in Plano and Frisco, Uptown, and the Las Colinas office market in Irving, where enterprise software, telecom, and managed services companies concentrate their technical teams. Candidates who combine hands-on implementation experience with strong client-facing skills stand out here, since Dallas employers consistently prioritize consultative ability alongside technical depth. Targeting mid-market and enterprise technology vendors with regional headquarters in North Dallas gives you the broadest pool of openings.
Which companies hire professional services engineers in Dallas?
Employers hiring professional services engineers in Dallas right now include Amazon Web Services, U.S. Bank, and Baker Tilly Canada, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas attracts a mix of Fortune 500 technology divisions, regional managed services providers, and enterprise software vendors with large client delivery operations in the metro.
Are there remote professional services engineer jobs in Dallas?
Yes, but availability depends heavily on the role, as professional services engineering work often requires on-site client engagement during implementation and go-live phases. About 100% of professional services engineer openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with most flexibility found in the post-deployment support and technical account management portions of the work. Cloud infrastructure and SaaS-focused roles at Dallas-area software vendors tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get a professional services engineer job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through a technical support or solutions consultant role at one of the many software vendors or managed services providers headquartered in Plano, Irving, or North Dallas, where companies regularly hire associate-level candidates and promote into full professional services roles. Dallas community college continuing education programs and vendor certifications in platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, or AWS strengthen early-career applications considerably. Targeting mid-size local technology companies rather than large enterprise firms improves your odds of being considered without a long project portfolio.
Which industries hire the most professional services engineers in Dallas?
The sectors hiring the most professional services engineers in Dallas are Distribution & Wholesale and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Dallas's role as a regional headquarters hub for financial services technology, telecommunications infrastructure, and healthcare IT firms drives sustained and concentrated demand for implementation and client-delivery engineering talent.
