Faculty in this role will provide student advising, student mentoring and recruitment, curriculum development, and engagement in program assessment accreditation-related procedures. The ideal candidate will be expected to: (i) incorporate modern pedagogical skills in teaching nursing courses to undergraduate and graduate courses in nursing leadership, (ii) supervise and support DNP student projects, and (ii) provide service to the SON, college, and university as well as to appropriate community and professional organizations. This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track position.
- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD).
- Demonstrates pedagogical skills to teach in areas relevant to nursing leadership
- Prior teaching experience in baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing programs or credentials to meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing’s educational requirement is required.
- Three years of clinical experience related to the concepts and theories essential in providing nursing care for Nursing Leadership.
- Nurse Educator Certification.
- Skills with Blackboard LMS, Banner INB, and Microsoft Office Support Software preferred
