Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. The Project Management Professional certification, issued by the Project Management Institute, is the most recognized credential in Arkansas hiring. Candidates without a degree can qualify through the PMI's experience-based pathway, combined with a project management training course.
How much do project managers make in Arkansas?
Project managers in Arkansas earn a median of about $140,600 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $98,520 for the lowest 10% to over $209,320 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire project managers in Arkansas?

Arkansas's mix of large retail headquarters, regional healthcare systems, and infrastructure contractors creates steady demand for project managers at multiple seniority levels year-round.
Which Arkansas cities have the most project manager jobs?
Little Rock, Bentonville, and West Memphis account for the largest share of project manager openings in Arkansas. Are there remote project manager jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 33% of project manager openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the coordination work happens through software rather than on a physical site. Technology and software implementation project managers see the highest share of fully remote postings, while construction and facilities project managers are almost always on-site.
