Property Claims Specialist Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a property claims specialist in Nevada?
You must obtain a Nevada Property and Casualty Adjuster license through the Nevada Division of Insurance, which requires completing a pre-licensing education course, passing the state adjuster exam, and submitting a licensing application. A high school diploma meets the minimum education requirement, though many employers prefer an associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Candidates with prior customer service, construction, or insurance support experience typically move into the role fastest.
Which companies hire property claims specialists in Nevada?
Employers hiring property claims specialists in Nevada right now include CVS Health, Recology, and Sedgwick, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's concentration of regional insurance offices in Las Vegas and Reno means large carriers maintain standing claims teams rather than relying solely on independent adjusters during peak periods.
Which Nevada cities have the most property claims specialist jobs?
Reno, Las Vegas, and Nevada are the Nevada cities with the most property claims specialist openings. Las Vegas and Henderson dominate because of the metro's dense residential housing stock, active commercial real estate sector, and the regional headquarters several major carriers maintain there, while Reno draws volume from its growing residential development and its role as a logistics and warehouse hub where property loss claims are common.
Are there remote property claims specialist jobs in Nevada?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based roles, because field inspections are a core part of the job. About 50% of property claims specialist openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting that the desk adjuster side of the role, including coverage review, estimate review, and policyholder communication, can be handled remotely while physical loss inspections remain on-site.
How can I get hired as a property claims specialist in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a claims representative or claims support associate role at one of the large carrier offices in Las Vegas or Reno, where State Farm, Allstate, and regional insurers run structured onboarding programs that train candidates without prior claims experience. Candidates coming from construction estimating, property management, or customer service roles are frequently considered for these positions. Completing pre-licensing coursework for the Nevada adjuster exam before applying demonstrates commitment and shortens ramp-up time, giving you a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to property claims specialist jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to property claims specialist jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nevada openings across carriers, third-party administrators, and independent adjusting firms. Find roles that match your experience level and apply directly to the employers posting them.
