Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with development teams to identify defects, improve processes, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for various software applications, including mobile and web platforms.
- Utilize automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit to enhance testing efficiency.
- Conduct functional, system, user acceptance, and performance testing on applications across Android and iOS platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify defects and recommend solutions.
- Implement continuous integration practices using tools like Jenkins and GitLab for automated testing processes.
- Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports in tools such as Jira or HP ALM.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure quality is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Conduct data analysis using SQL or MySQL to verify data integrity in applications.
- Engage in release management activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
Qualifications
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation scripting.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks for Android and iOS applications.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services testing (SOAP/REST).
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git (GitHub/GitLab) and build tools such as Maven or Ant.
- Understanding of database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
