Real Estate Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a real estate job in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia's strongest hiring comes from commercial brokerage firms along Market Street, property management companies serving the city's dense rental stock in neighborhoods like Fairmount and South Philly, and REITs with portfolios in the Delaware Valley region. Candidates with local market knowledge, familiarity with Philadelphia zoning and neighborhood dynamics, and experience in mixed-use or multifamily assets tend to stand out in this market.
Which companies hire real estates in Philadelphia?
Companies currently hiring real estates in Philadelphia include Berkadia, The Robin Gordon, and City of Philadelphia, PA, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Philadelphia's market draws a mix of national commercial firms with regional offices, locally rooted property management companies, and institutional investors with significant Pennsylvania portfolios.
Are there remote real estate jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though most real estate roles are tied to physical properties and local market activity, making fully remote positions less common for field-facing positions. About 44% of real estate openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated in roles like lease administration, asset management, and real estate analytics. Roles requiring site visits, client showings, or property inspections remain predominantly on-site.
How can I get a real estate job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is through property management support roles, leasing consultant positions, or transaction coordinator work at mid-size residential or commercial firms. Philadelphia's large student-housing corridor near Drexel and Temple, and its active rental market in neighborhoods like Northern Liberties, regularly produce entry-level leasing openings. Familiarity with Philadelphia neighborhoods and a willingness to work in on-site roles gives early-career candidates a meaningful advantage.
Which industries hire the most real estates in Philadelphia?
Most real estate openings in Philadelphia sit in Government & Public Sector, Banking & Financial Services, and Food & Beverage, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Philadelphia's combination of large healthcare and university anchor institutions, active commercial redevelopment along the waterfront and in Callowhill, and a deep multifamily rental market drives consistent demand across those sectors.
