Title: Territory Sales Manager (TSM)
Classification: Full-Time Exclusively, Regular Exclusively, Exempt Exclusively
Normal Hours: Commonly prior to 8 AM through after 5 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends and extended travel
General Description (major areas of responsibility of this position):
A person in this position is responsible to improve customer and potential customer relationships, grow profit margin and sales value and volume with current customers, and expand sales by obtaining and developing new customers within an assigned territory or market, support the development of the sales team, perform regular and accurate reporting to support sales planning and analysis activities, prepares visual presentations, written quotations and negotiations, and records the successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions. May perform occasional deliveries to support the customer relationship. May manage and replenish consignments. This position is outside sales; duties shall be away from the office to solicit clients 60% or more of the time worked per week to maintain eligibility for commission. Excellence is demonstrated consistently and process improvements are contributed.
The ideal candidate will be disciplined and have experience in conducting product demonstrations. This candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel and be able to generate new sales leads on a regular basis. The candidate should be able to keep track of their sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field.
Minimum Qualifications: Formal Training (courses, degrees, and credentials required):
- BA Degree or equivalent;
- MVR with little to no safety concerns within the past 3 years
- Minimum 2-5 years working in an outside sales capacity, with high success in profitable outside sales and customer retention within that position and ability to learn rapid
- Strong work ethic and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
