Insurance Account Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a insurance account manager in Arizona?
Most Arizona employers require an active insurance producer license issued by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions before you start. You'll need to complete pre-licensing education, pass the Arizona state exam for the appropriate line of authority (Property and Casualty, Life and Health, or both), and submit your license application. A bachelor's degree in business or finance strengthens your candidacy, though many employers will consider equivalent work experience alongside a current license.
How much do insurance account managers make in Arizona?
Insurance account managers in Arizona earn a median of about $61,560 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $40,300 for the lowest 10% to over $104,290 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire insurance account managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring insurance account managers in Arizona right now include State Farm, HUB International, and Pinnacle Bank, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Arizona's large concentration of independent and captive agencies in the Phoenix metro, combined with regional offices for national carriers, keeps hiring activity steady throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most insurance account manager jobs?
Tucson, Mesa, and Tempe lead Arizona for insurance account manager openings. Phoenix dominates because it is home to regional carrier offices, large independent agencies, and the corporate headquarters of employers like Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, while Tucson and Scottsdale draw hiring from established agency networks and financial services firms that maintain significant Arizona operations.
Are there remote insurance account manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and they're more common than in many roles, since account management is largely relationship-based work conducted by phone, email, and video. About 100% of insurance account manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of this work can be done off-site. Renewal management, benefits administration support, and commercial lines service roles are the segments most frequently listed as fully remote.
How can I get hired as a insurance account manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is obtaining your Arizona insurance producer license first, which signals commitment to hiring managers even without account management experience. From there, look for client service representative or insurance customer service roles at Phoenix-area independent agencies and large captive carriers, which routinely bring in candidates from adjacent backgrounds in banking, retail, or administrative support. Some larger Arizona employers run structured associate account manager programs that pair new hires with senior producers during an onboarding period, giving you a supervised path into the role.
Where can I find and apply to insurance account manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to insurance account manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your license type, experience level, and preferred location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
