Entry Level Registered Behavior Technician Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level registered behavior technician job?
Most entry level registered behavior technician employers look for a completed RBT credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, which requires 40 hours of supervised training and a passing exam score. Candidates who have completed practicum hours, worked as a behavioral health technician, or have experience with ABA therapy in a school or clinic setting have a clear edge over those without hands-on exposure.
Which companies hire entry level registered behavior technicians?
Companies hiring entry level registered behavior technicians right now include Proud Moments, HealthPRO Heritage, and ABA WORKS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes primarily from ABA therapy clinics, school districts, home health agencies, and behavioral health organizations that have structured onboarding and supervision programs designed for new and junior technicians.
Are there remote entry level registered behavior technician jobs?
Yes, though most openings in this role are in-person due to the hands-on nature of ABA therapy. About 17% of entry level registered behavior technician openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be telehealth-based positions providing parent training or behavioral consultation rather than direct one-on-one therapy sessions.
Are these new grad registered behavior technician jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior registered behavior technician roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience and accepts an internship, practicum placement, or supervised clinical hours in place of full professional experience. Look for postings that mention RBT credential support or supervision as part of the role.
Which industries hire the most entry level registered behavior technicians?
Entry Level registered behavior technician roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely heavily on direct support staff to deliver one-on-one ABA therapy and because their caseload growth and regulatory supervision requirements create consistent demand for new and junior technicians.
