Registered Radiologic Technologist Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a registered radiologic technologist in Delaware?
You must complete an accredited radiologic technology program, pass the ARRT certification exam, and then apply for a Delaware radiologic technology license through the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation. Delaware requires state licensure in addition to ARRT credentials before you can practice. Most programs take two years and combine classroom instruction with clinical rotations at Delaware hospitals or imaging centers.
How much do registered radiologic technologists make in Delaware?
Registered radiologic technologists in Delaware earn a median of about $84,210 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,770 for the lowest 10% to over $108,980 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire registered radiologic technologists in Delaware?
Companies currently hiring registered radiologic technologists in Delaware include Bayhealth, ChristianaCare, and TridentCare, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. ChristianaCare's network, anchored in Wilmington and Newark, is consistently among Delaware's largest ongoing sources of imaging department openings.
Which Delaware cities have the most registered radiologic technologist jobs?
Dover, Newark, and Wilmington lead Delaware for registered radiologic technologist openings. Wilmington drives the largest share due to ChristianaCare's flagship hospital complex and the concentration of specialty imaging practices serving the northern Delaware corridor, while Dover reflects demand from Bayhealth's Kent County facilities serving central and southern Delaware.
Are there remote registered radiologic technologist jobs in Delaware?
Yes, but they're rare. Radiologic technology is a hands-on clinical role requiring direct patient contact and on-site imaging equipment, so fully remote positions are uncommon. About 0% of registered radiologic technologist openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those typically involve teleradiology image reading or quality review functions rather than patient-facing imaging work.
How can I get hired as a registered radiologic technologist in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to new graduate positions at ChristianaCare or Bayhealth, both of which hire new ARRT-certified graduates into structured onboarding programs. Candidates with clinical rotations completed at Delaware facilities have an immediate advantage. Lateral moves from radiologic technology aide or patient transport roles at the same hospital can also open doors, and having your Delaware state license in hand before applying makes you immediately eligible.
Where can I find and apply to registered radiologic technologist jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to registered radiologic technologist jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current Delaware openings across hospital systems, outpatient centers, and imaging practices.
