Tips for Your Remote Field Sales Consultant Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote field sales consultant openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through unrelated listings.
Prove you can sell without in-person oversight
Remote hiring managers need evidence you'll manage your own pipeline. Quantify past quota attainment, activity metrics, or territory results in your resume so they can see your output without having supervised you directly.
Sharpen your async communication before interviews
Remote field sales consultants coordinate with internal teams and prospects entirely through email, video, and chat. Before your interview, tighten how you write follow-ups and proposals, because remote employers test written clarity as a proxy for on-the-job performance.
Signal remote readiness with your CRM fluency
Remote sales teams run on CRM discipline. Call out specific platforms you've used, like Salesforce or HubSpot, and describe how you kept your pipeline current without a manager prompting you, since that self-management skill is exactly what remote employers are screening for.
Prepare for a multi-round remote interview process
Expect a role-play or live discovery call as part of the remote interview loop. Practice your open-ended questioning and objection handling on video, because remote employers use simulated calls to assess how you perform when no one can read your body language in person.
Remote Field Sales Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote field sales consultant job?
Target companies with fully distributed sales teams, particularly in SaaS, insurance, and medical devices, where remote field roles are most common. Remote employers screen for self-direction, strong written communication, and comfort managing your own pipeline without in-person oversight. Candidates who can document a history of hitting targets independently, and who demonstrate async communication skills in their application, stand out most.
Which companies hire remote field sales consultants?
Employers currently hiring remote field sales consultants include Fidelity Investments, The RealReal, and Cognizant, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first firms and distributed sales organizations across software, healthcare, and financial services make up the bulk of this hiring.
Can you get a remote field sales consultant job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level roles are harder to land because employers expect you to manage your own activity and pipeline from day one without in-person coaching. Your best path is targeting small remote-first companies or startup sales teams that need coverage and will train in exchange for hustle. Showing documented results from any sales-adjacent work, internships, or SDR experience replaces a formal field sales title.
Do you need a degree for remote field sales consultant jobs?
Not always. Remote employers in this role weigh demonstrated results and sales skills more heavily than a diploma, particularly in software and financial services where quota attainment and product knowledge matter most. A strong history of hitting targets, familiarity with CRM tools, and the ability to communicate clearly in writing can carry more weight than a degree for remote roles.
Which industries hire the most remote field sales consultants?
Most remote field sales consultant openings sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Investment & Asset Management, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors rely on distributed sales coverage across large geographies, making remote field consultants a natural fit for their go-to-market models.
