Research Dietitian Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a research dietitian job in Seattle?
Focus your search on Seattle's academic medical centers in First Hill and the University District, life sciences companies in South Lake Union, and public health agencies serving King County. Candidates with clinical research coordination experience, a background in nutrition epidemiology, or familiarity with grant-funded study protocols stand out. Networking through the University of Washington's nutrition and public health programs also opens doors that general applications miss.
Which companies hire research dietitians in Seattle?
Employers hiring research dietitians in Seattle right now include Amazon, TikTok, and The Emily Program, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Seattle's mix of academic medical systems, federally funded research institutions, and biotech companies means openings range from hospital-based clinical trials to community nutrition studies.
Are there remote research dietitian jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though only for roles heavy on data analysis, protocol writing, or grant work rather than hands-on clinical contact. About 42% of research dietitian openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the analytical side of the field. In Seattle specifically, biotech and public health data roles are the most likely to offer flexible arrangements.
How can I get a research dietitian job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is a research coordinator or dietetic intern role at a University of Washington-affiliated program or a First Hill hospital system. Community nutrition programs run through Seattle-King County Public Health also hire entry-level candidates and build the research skills employers want. A strong practicum record and any exposure to IRB-approved study protocols will differentiate you from candidates without hands-on research context.
Which industries hire the most research dietitians in Seattle?
Seattle research dietitian roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Artificial Intelligence, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
