Research Jobs in Cincinnati: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a research job in Cincinnati?
The strongest path into Cincinnati research roles runs through its healthcare and academic anchors in Uptown and the UC Medical Center corridor, where clinical, biomedical, and public health research teams hire consistently. Candidates who target hospitals, university-affiliated institutes, and the region's growing life sciences firms gain the most traction. Hands-on lab or data experience, familiarity with IRB protocols, and connections to Cincinnati's tight-knit academic community give applicants a clear edge.
Which companies hire researchs in Cincinnati?
Companies currently hiring researchs in Cincinnati include Medpace, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and 84.51°, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Cincinnati's research employer base is anchored by major health systems, research universities, and consumer goods and market research firms with deep roots in the region.
Are there remote research jobs in Cincinnati?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type. Hands-on lab, clinical, and field research positions are almost always on-site, while analytical, literature review, and survey-based roles are far more remote-friendly. About 23% of research openings tied to Cincinnati are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Data analysis, qualitative coding, and grant-writing components of research roles are the functions most commonly performed remotely in Cincinnati.
How can I get a research job in Cincinnati with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Cincinnati is a research assistant or coordinator role at one of the University of Cincinnati's affiliated institutes or a Cincinnati Children's research department, which regularly onboard candidates with strong academic backgrounds but limited field experience. Cincinnati's market research firms downtown also hire junior analysts. Volunteering for community health studies or completing a local internship builds the applied experience that Cincinnati employers prioritize over credentials alone.
