Entry Level Research Product Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level research product manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for hands-on evidence of research thinking: a portfolio with a case study, a capstone project, or an internship where you ran user interviews or synthesized findings into a product recommendation. Tailoring your resume to show specific research methods you have used, such as usability testing or competitive analysis, gives you a clear edge over candidates who list only coursework.
Which companies hire entry level research product managers?
Companies hiring entry level research product managers right now include Distyl, Apple, and Elevate Care, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of growth-stage startups building out their first research function and established companies with structured rotational or associate product programs.
Are there remote entry level research product manager jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by employer and team. About 26% of entry level research product manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need location flexibility still have real options. Hybrid roles, where you are in office two or three days a week, make up a significant share of that figure.
Are these new grad research product manager jobs?
Yes. The listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior research product manager roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically states it is open to zero to two years of experience and treats internships, academic research projects, or a strong portfolio as equivalent to full-time work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level research product managers?
Entry Level research product manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they run continuous discovery cycles, rely on user research to prioritize features, and are actively building out junior product talent pipelines.
