Entry Level Revenue Cycle Management Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level revenue cycle management job?
Entry level revenue cycle management employers look for candidates who understand basic medical billing, coding, and claims processing workflows. Completing a healthcare administration or health information management program gives you a foundation, and any internship or practicum experience in a hospital, clinic, or insurance setting strengthens your application significantly. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and attention to detail are the practical skills most hiring managers mention first at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level revenue cycle managements?
Companies hiring entry level revenue cycle managements right now include Providence, CVS Health, and UNC Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this experience level, hiring comes from a broad mix of health systems, physician groups, revenue cycle outsourcing firms, and insurance companies actively building out their billing and coding teams.
Are there remote entry level revenue cycle management jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid opportunities exist at this level, though on-site roles still dominate many markets. About 59% of entry level revenue cycle management openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, giving candidates geographic flexibility that was rare in this field just a few years ago. Remote roles tend to require demonstrated familiarity with billing software and claims systems from prior coursework or internship work.
Are these new grad revenue cycle management jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad-friendly posting typically states it accepts zero to two years of experience, considers internships or externships as qualifying background, or calls out degree programs in health information management, healthcare administration, or a related field. Recent graduates should look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior,' or 'no experience required' in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level revenue cycle managements?
Entry Level revenue cycle management roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Agriculture & Farming, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring at this level because high patient or claims volume creates consistent demand for staff who can handle billing, coding, denials, and reimbursement tasks even without years of experience behind them.
