Entry Level Content Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level content specialist job?
Entry level content specialist roles reward candidates who can show their work before day one. A portfolio with blog posts, social copy, email drafts, or content from internships or class projects demonstrates the practical skills employers care about at this stage. Tailoring each application to the employer's voice and content channels, and showing familiarity with basic SEO or content management tools, gives candidates a clear edge.
Which companies hire entry level content specialists?
Companies hiring entry level content specialists right now include Nexstar Media Group, Rippling, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including startups building content from scratch, mid-size brands growing their marketing teams, and larger organizations with structured entry level or rotational programs.
Are there remote entry level content specialist jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options exist at the entry level, though on-site roles are also common. About 29% of entry level content specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need location flexibility have real options without limiting themselves to one employer type or city.
Are these new grad content specialist jobs?
Yes, many of these openings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates with little or no professional experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or freelance work toward that threshold, and accepts a portfolio in place of a long employment history. Searching for roles that list these terms is the fastest way to find the right fit.
Which industries hire the most entry level content specialists?
Entry Level content specialist roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Education, and Media & Entertainment, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they rely on consistent content output across web, social, and email channels, creating steady demand for writers and content contributors who are early in their careers.
