Entry Level Senior Front End Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior front end developer job?
Build a portfolio with two or three projects that show you can work with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue, write clean HTML and CSS, and understand responsive design. Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who can demonstrate practical output, so open-source contributions, bootcamp capstones, or even well-documented personal projects give you a real edge over candidates with nothing to show.
Which companies hire entry level senior front end developers?
Companies hiring entry level senior front end developers right now include Esri, CVS Health, and Capital One, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including startups that need hands-on builders and larger organizations running structured new grad programs with mentorship built in.
Are there remote entry level senior front end developer jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid roles exist at the entry level, though competition for fully remote positions is higher. About 14% of entry level senior front end developer openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, so candidates willing to work on-site in a given market will generally find a broader range of options.
Are these new grad senior front end developer jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with zero to two years of experience. A posting is new-grad friendly when it lists a degree or bootcamp background as sufficient, accepts internship experience in place of full-time history, or calls out a portfolio as the primary qualification rather than a long employment record.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior front end developers?
Entry Level senior front end developer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they ship consumer-facing products or internal tools at a pace that requires a steady pipeline of front end contributors, including candidates who are just starting out.
