Entry Level Risk Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level risk analyst job?
Entry level risk analyst employers look for candidates who can demonstrate quantitative thinking, attention to detail, and familiarity with risk frameworks, even without years of professional experience. A completed internship, a relevant academic project, or coursework in statistics, finance, or compliance gives you a concrete edge. Certifications like the FRM Part I or a data analysis credential also signal seriousness at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level risk analysts?
Companies hiring entry level risk analysts right now include Capital One, JPMorganChase, and Information Technology Senior Management Forum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including large financial institutions, insurance carriers, consulting firms, and corporate risk departments at mid-size companies building out their compliance and credit teams.
Are there remote entry level risk analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still dominate at the entry level. About 21% of entry level risk analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which means candidates outside major financial hubs still have realistic options worth applying to.
Are these new grad risk analyst jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior risk analyst roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, treats internships or academic projects as qualifying background, or explicitly mentions a willingness to train candidates who demonstrate the right analytical foundation, even without a full professional history.
Which industries hire the most entry level risk analysts?
Entry Level risk analyst roles concentrate in Banking & Financial Services, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate under regulatory requirements and financial exposure that create consistent demand for junior analysts who can support credit, operational, and compliance risk functions.
