Entry Level Robotics Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level robotics engineer job?
Build a portfolio of hands-on projects, such as a robot arm, autonomous vehicle prototype, or ROS-based simulation, and highlight any internship or lab experience on your resume. Employers hiring at this level prioritize demonstrated ability to write clean code, work with sensors and actuators, and collaborate on hardware-software integration. A strong senior capstone project or open-source contribution can give you a real edge.
Which companies hire entry level robotics engineers?
Companies hiring entry level robotics engineers right now include Amazon, C&W Services, and Cushman & Wakefield, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including manufacturing automation firms, defense contractors, medical device companies, and consumer robotics startups that actively recruit new and recent graduates.
Are there remote entry level robotics engineer jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level require at least some on-site work given the hands-on nature of robotics. About 9% of entry level robotics engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, typically covering simulation, software integration, or controls work that can be done off-site while hardware testing stays in the lab.
Are these new grad robotics engineer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior robotics engineer roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-op rotations in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites applicants with a strong academic portfolio. Look for language like "entry level," "new grad," or "junior" in the job description to confirm.
Which industries hire the most entry level robotics engineers?
Entry Level robotics engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they are actively scaling automation, investing in new robotics systems, and need junior engineers to support design, testing, and deployment alongside more experienced teams.
